The big idea

Students engage with academic integrity honestly, learn the basics of privacy law and data rights, and map the career pathways where AI capability genuinely matters.

Why it matters

Board year decisions are approaching. Clear rules and an accurate view of the field are both immediately practical.

Unpacked

What you will actually learn

Three core ideas, each taught with worked examples and then practised until it feels obvious.

01

Academic integrity

Academic integrity: AI may support understanding and drafting, but submitted work must be the student’s own — and rules vary by board and school.

02

Privacy and law basics

Privacy and law basics cover consent, data protection and what happens to information typed into a tool.

03

AI career pathways

AI career pathways span far more than engineering — policy, design, ethics, data, education and law all now need AI literacy.

Did you know?

India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, passed in 2023, sets out how personal data must be handled — including data given to AI services.

Common mix-up

“Everyone uses AI for assignments, so it is fine.” Rules differ by board and school, and the consequences fall on the individual.

Session by session

Project lab

Personal responsible-AI and career plan

Every module ends with something the student built themselves and can demonstrate. This is the piece that goes into their portfolio and gets explained out loud at the end of session 64.

Try this at home

Write your own AI-use policy for the coming year, specific enough that you can check yourself against it honestly.

It is finished when

  • It works from start to finish without breaking
  • You can explain every part of it in your own words
  • You tested it and improved at least one thing afterwards
  • Someone else used or understood it without your help

By the end of this module

Students finishing Module 8 can:

  • Explain and use academic integrity without prompting
  • Explain and use privacy and law basics without prompting
  • Explain and use ai career pathways without prompting
  • Build and finish personal responsible-ai and career plan
  • Test your own work and correct what you find
  • Talk an adult through what you made and why
